I’d sit down, start the clock, and write for ten minutes.
That’s how The True Story of a Good God began.
I love God’s word. I’ll never claim to fully understand it. But I think some things are clear.
From beginning to end, it tells the true story of a good God.
I want you to know it.
If you reject God, let it be for the truth of who he is and what he says.
If you accept him, let it be for the same.
Don’t settle for an inaccurate version of God and his story.
There are many parts of our world that make it hard to believe that God is good and that we can know the truth.
So, for ten minutes at a time, I’ll write in hopes of making it easier.
Cheers to the journey.

Oh Dena – I am so glad you are doing this writing. Life for me has been SO good and SO painful at the same time. The good has come only because God is good!! I have wrestled with why God has allowed so many difficulties my whole life – and yet every tragedy or trauma has driven me back to him – and shown me the good in the pain and suffering. But I’ve never had the guts to write about it!! Few people know of the dark sides of my life – and so I keep all the goodness inside – yet there is this tension within – I want the world to know of God’s goodness – but am afraid to share the contrast life experiences – yet it’s the extreme contrasts that make God’s goodness shine brighter. How do I follow these so I don’t forget to find them or miss out??
I hope you do write them! I once heard a philosopher say that lament is one of the best witnesses we have to offer the world. The ability truthfully name and endure evil without losing hope.
I will always post this series to my Instagram but you can also subscribe on the homepage of my blog!
